After running into the manager, they are invited out to dinner as guest of the temple on him, thanks to the Great Kogoro. The morning after hearing the legend of 5 story pagoda, the manager (who was planning on turning it into a tourist attraction) turns up dead, hanging from the top floor, in a fashion mimicking the legend.
